Emergencies

Even with regular maintenance, unforeseen and unplanned issues can arise from time to time. When an emergency maintenance issue arises at a facility, the emergency maintenance protocol should be followed to report and correct the cause of the emergency.

What constitutes an Emergency?

"Emergency Maintenance" means repairs which are unforeseen and require urgent attention due to the presence of, or the imminent risk of, an extreme or emergency situation arising from one or more of the following:
  1. Human injury or death.
  2. Human suffering or deprecation of human rights.
  3. Serious damage to property or financial loss.
  4. Livestock or animal injury, suffering or death.
  5. Serious environmental damage or degradation.
  6. Interruption of essential services
